We, at Capital Electric, certainly appreciate the relationships we have built over the years with our customers. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on the health and welfare of our partners, their businesses, and their employees. That concern obviously encompasses our own company and the over 1,000 associates we employ.

Our company is fully operational and prepared to serve your needs. As some local jurisdictions place limits on “non-essential” businesses, as a supplier of electrical equipment we will remain open to support the supply chain of needed goods across our footprint. Should local guidelines change, we will work to comply with official direction. If there is any change in our normal operation, that would affect our ability to serve your needs, we will inform you immediately.

We are taking all the precautions suggested by the CDC and local authorities, including:

  • Suspending all non-critical business travel for our associates that involves flights and hotel stays.
  • Moving internal face-to-face meetings to conference calls and webinar sessions.
  • Educating all employees in “social distancing” protocol.
  • Postponing all training sessions, both internal and external.
  • Limiting branch site visits by our suppliers and conducting business over the phone or by email.
  • Educating our staff on proper hygiene practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • Demanding self-reporting for any employee with confirmed and direct exposure.

Many of you are, more than likely, taking similar steps within your own business. We support and will respect your internal protocols on this matter. With that in mind, our outside sales representatives will primarily interact and conduct business with you by phone, email, and webinar. Be assured we will do everything in our power to make the best of the current situation and work to make these new challenges as seamless as possible.

We do not know the extent this situation will affect our supply chain. Our commitment to you is to monitor it closely and to work with our vendor partners to identify any material shortfalls and then work with you to minimize disruptions. As business partners, any insight you may have regarding upcoming needs would certainly be appreciated.

Our thoughts remain with those who have been directly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and with those brave men and women in the healthcare field who step up to care for them. It is our sincere hope that this is short-lived and that we return to “business as normal” soon. Until then please know the Capital Electric family is here to support you in any way we can.
